March 16th Mt. Elbert Snowshoe 3 of 4

This was Mt. Elbert last May. Expect colder temps and more snow in March. Photo by Chris Kassar

VetEx will climb Mt. Elbert (14,440 feet) Saturday the 16th of March. This will be our third snowshoe of the season.  The Mt.Elbert snowshoe will be intermediate in difficulty and any bad weather will make the summit an even greater challenge. If you have never climbed a Colorado 14er before, this snowshoe is not for you. If you have been working up to this and think you are almost there, then come on out.      Snowshoes sponsored by Kahtoola.
